Poster Rex was founded by Markus Lange and Lars Harmsen in 2014 after a screen printing workshop in Cuba. In the years that followed, the two designers ran many printing sessions and workshops all over the world, inviting local designers to make experimental posters.
In works addressing different current social and political issues, the focus was always on one thing – making a stand! The results testify to the ongoing power of creativity and to the deeply human capacity for hope, often combined with calls for specific measures – calls to take action.
The collection now includes over 3000 unique posters, all screen-printed by hand. The exhibition shows a selection of around 100, chosen by Lange and Harmsen.
